Janesville police investigate east-side shooting that left Masonic lodge riddled with bullet holes

Police investigate a shooting on Janesville’s east side that left a Masonic lodge building riddled with bullet holes early Sunday morning.

Authorities say they the found the Masonic Center at 2322 East Milwaukee Street with bullet holes through multiple windows after a report of shots fired at about 2:47 a.m. Sunday.

Police say a resident near the lodge at East Milwaukee Street and North Sumac Drive heard multiple gunshots, although they waited about 15 minutes before reporting it to cops.

Nobody got hurt. The person reporting the shots says they saw a man walk past after they heard gunfire. They describe him as tall, thin and dressed in dark clothing.
