
Two people are dead following a residential fire over the weekend in Walworth County.
The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office says fire personnel were dispatched to a home on the 2100 block of Highway 11 in the town of Spring Prairie just before 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
First responders found the second floor of the home fully engulfed.
Firefighters searched the home and found the bodies of two people in a second-floor apartment.
Firefighters were on the scene for more than seven hours.
The Walworth County Medical Examiner identified the victims as 58-year-old Brady Chapman and 83-year-old Sylvia Chapman.
One firefighter was treated on the scene for minor injuries.
