A 45-year-old Sun Prairie man accused of trying to light a camper on fire and running over an occupied tent is bound over for trial.

According to online court records, Mark Sullivan appeared in Rock County Court Friday for his preliminary hearing on charges of arson, first-degree recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct, theft, and criminal damage to property.

According to the criminal complaint, back in May, witnesses observed Sullivan shove his girlfriend before burning her property in a fire pit, appearing to use lighter fluid to try to lead the flames to a camper.

Sullivan drove over an occupied tent, hit a parked car, and busted through a gate as he tore out of Lakeland Campground.

Sullivan was arrested this month after police were called to a home in Janesville where Sullivan was reportedly beating up the same victim.
