Halloween treats won’t be limited to humans this weekend.
The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin invites children and pets alike to its fifth annual “Lick or Treat” trunk-or-treating event, starting at noon Sunday.
Groups with kids and animals can collect treats from shelter staff and volunteers in the shelter’s parking lot at 4700 S. County G. Of course, costumes are encouraged.
The society suggests a $5 donation, but people can participate for free. There will also be prize raffles and baked goods for sale during the outing.
The shelter is also offering discounted adoptions starting Thursday through November 3rd. Fees will be $50 for dogs and $5 for cats.
