A 24-year-old Janesville man who is accused of convincing a 16-year-old girl he worked with at Subway to send him nude photos is bound over for trial.

According to online court records, Michael Riggs appeared before Rock County Court Commissioner Jack Hoag this week where he waived his right to a preliminary hearing on a charge of possession of an intimate representation of a victim less than 18 years old.

According to the criminal complaint, in August the teenager’s mother contacted Janesville Police to report she had found suggestive messages and photos were being sent between her child and Riggs.

Police confiscated the girl’s phone and found that she had sent nude photos to Riggs and that he knew she was less than 18.

When officers arrested Riggs they found photos of the girl on his phone.

Riggs is currently free on a signature bond. He’s due back in court in February.
