A local non-profit is putting nearly $100,000 in ARPA funding from Rock County to good use.
The YWCA Rock County is launching a new childcare program for two and three-year-olds which is set to open in June of 2025.
Executive Director Heidi Deininger says right now there is only enough childcare available for one in three children on the south side of Janesville.
Deininger says the YWCA will be able to increase its capacity from 15 kids in the P4J program to be able to serve a total of 75 families.
Deininger says the YWCA is working with Angus-Young to begin construction in January.
