A 51-year-old Janesville man is wounded in an early evening shooting on the city’s near west side. Janesville police say they responded to a report of one person being shot at an apartment in the 300 block of North High Street about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Officers say the victim was taken to the hospital, but his condition has not been released. Police say they have witnesses. Officers say they’re confident in the suspect’s identity, but no one is in custody. Authorities are calling this a targeted attack with little risk to the general public.
