Beloit police are investigating a homicide and non-fatal shooting on the city’s west side. A news release states police were called to the 1200 block of Oak Street a little after 7:30 p.m. Thursday for a report of shots fired. Officers found two victims suffering from injuries sustained from gunfire. Police say a male victim died, but a female victim is expected to make a full recovery. Police have not identified the victims. The statement adds the city of Beloit Police Department is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.
