(Gazette photo) The woman found dead Monday in Janesville’s Lustig Park has been identified as 26-year-old Whitney Carlson of Madison. The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office reports a forensic autopsy shows no significant inflicted trauma was discovered during the examination. Preliminary results of the autopsy are pending additional testing. Janesville police and the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office are still investigating the death. Earlier in the week, Janesville police said Carlson had been reported missing Sunday night and had suicidal thoughts. A pedestrian found the body in a wooded area about 40-yards from the bank of the Rock River.
