You may see a group of children casting their reels next month in Janesville. The 43rd annual Take a Kid Fishing Derby will be held Saturday, June 7th, from 9 a.m. to Noon at the Traxler Park Lagoon. The event is for children ages 3 to 14.
Kids will be participating in several contests to win prizes, including a casting contest, biggest fish, and minnow races. Registration for the event is encouraged.
