Ice fisherman may have drowned in Geneva Lake

Town of Linn Police are investigating a likely drowning on Geneva Lake.  Officers say the wife of a man who’d gone out ice fishing around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday morning failed to respond to cell phone calls later in the day.  Police say she initially went out to find him, but called for help because of cracks in the ice.  A drone equipped with an InfraRed camera was used in the search.  They say Michael Zielinski’s body was found floating in the water about one-thousand feet from the south shore.  Police warn due tothe recent warmer weather the ice is no longer safe to venture out on.
