The Janesville City Council considers settling a claim filed by Blain’s Supply for excessive assessment of it’s property at 3501 East Racine Street.
Assistant City Attorney Tim Wellnitz says Monday night the council will consider refunding a total of $327,000 to Blain’s Supply for an over assessment in the years 2013 through 2016.
Two-thirds of that money would be paid back by the other tax jurisdictions such as the county and school district.
