Five down and three to go, when it comes to the number of suspects in a burglary in Monroe. Police say a witness reported seeing burglars at the Radio Shack on 6th Avenue West a little before 3:00 a.m. Tuesday and followed two vehicles while talking to officers on a cell phone. Monroe Police and Green County Sheriff’s deputies caught up with the suspect vehicles east on Highway 11. A pursuit began, stop sticks were used, and the first vehicle was disabled near Brodhead. The 18-year-old driver from Aurora, Illinois was arrested, but her three passengers escaped. The other suspect vehicle was stopped in Janesville, and the 21-year-old driver from Aurora, Illinois was arrested, along with three other passengers all aged 18 to 25. All the suspects were taken to the Green County Jail.
