(Gazette Photo) The old Varsity Lanes Bowling alley in Milton may be seeing a little competitive sports action again. Milton school officials have been complaining about a lack of space for years, and even offered voters a building referendum which failed in November. The school district is considering entering into a usage agreement to allow spring sports team use of the building as a temporary practice facility. If the school board approves the usage agreement Monday, high school sports teams could use the building until the end of the calendar year, unless the district holds a special election for a new facilities referendum. High School Activities Director Brian Hammil says using the bowling alley would not affect future referendum terms because the high school is only using it temporarily.
