Wisconsin Emergency Management to visit Janesville school

Fifth graders at Janesville’s Kennedy Elementary should be better prepared for a disaster after a special visit from the State Department of Emergency Management. Spokesman Tod Pritchard says S.T.E.P. or the Student Tools for Emergency Planning program will inspire the kids to talk with their parents about being prepared.  Thanks to $10,000 donations from both AT&T and the Wisconsin Wireless Association, the kids will also receive an emergency preparedness kit. Pritchard says Friday’s stop in Janesville will kick off visits to thousand’s of school children around the state.
