Former Edgerton High School teacher accused of sexting student pleads to lesser charge

A former Edgerton High School teacher charged with exposing a child to harmful material for having sexually explicit online conversations with a 17-year-old former student agrees to give up his teaching license.
Prosecutor Perry Folts says as a result the District Attorney’s Office is allowing 33-year-old Kyle Bowman to plead no contest to the lesser charge of unlawful use of computerized communications systems which carries a $1000 fine.
Bowman had been employed with the Edgerton School District from 2012 until 2015. According to the criminal complaint, he began communicating with the girl after he was no longer employed with the district and she contacted him via social media.
As part of his plea, Bowman will never be allowed to teach again in the State of Wisconsin.
