A big donation helps Janesville’s letter carriers surpass last year’s food drive collection total. Organizer Leah Borowski admits being a little disappointed Saturday’s collection was only slightly more than 42,000 pounds, until Seneca Foods offered 4000 pounds of canned goods. Borowski calls the donation is both a surprise and a blessing. She says the letter carriers try to surpass the previous year’s collection total every year, but until the Seneca Foods donation this year, they’d run about 1300 pounds short.
