Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel travels to Beloit to help honor the law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
During the annual ceremony the names of all midwestern law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty over the last year are read, and a flower is placed next to a flag in their honor.
The widow of fallen officer Peter Larsen presented the Beloit Police Department with a painting in honor of her husband which depicts the Archangel Michael carrying police officer that was killed.
The 23rd annual Rock County Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony took place Thursday afternoon at the Rotary River Center in Beloit.
