A 67-year-old Sharon man is dead following a two-vehicle accident in Walworth County.
The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the crash at the intersection of Highways 67 and K in the town of Sharon just after 2:00 Wednesday afternoon.
The initial investigation indicates that a car driven by 19-year-old Isabel Lavariega Bazan of Sharon was northbound on K when it failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with a car that was heading west on 67.
Bazan sustained significant injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle, 67-year-old Loren Huffman sustained critical injuries, and despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead by the Walworth County Medical Examiner.
The accident remains under investigation.
