Rock County board considers grant to support opioid treatment

With three Rock County residents a month being lost to an overdose of opioids, the county board Thursday night may have a chance to help make a difference. Human Services Department Outpatient Program Manager Amanda Lake says a state grant is available to be used for medication-assistance treatment.  Lake says one problem now is treatment needs to be available when a patient feels ready, but the current wait times are up to six-months. The county board is expected to approve the resolution to accept the state grant.
