The Beloit Police and Fire Commission begins the long process of deciding whether or not to fire a police chief and deputy chief.
At the initial hearing on the pending complaint against Chief Norm Jacobs and Deputy Chief Tom Dunkin Monday night, their attorney argued that the charge of failure to perform job duties in a competent manner should be dismissed because of a lack of specificity.
The PFC didn't rule on the motion, but they did begin to set dates for the actual hearing which is expected to last around 40 hours over a number of days.
After holding a pre conference on November 4th, the hearing will begin on November 11th.
