Alliant Energy veteran Jeremie Wienke of Janesville has been getting a first hand look at the devastation from Hurricane Irma in Florida. He and about 90 others left the Beloit Energy Center a week ago Tuesday to help restore power to folks south of Miami. Wienke says the toughest challenge during their 16-hour workdays has been the heat. The crews may be headed back to Wisconsin Friday.
