With only a few days left in the annual collection, members of the Janesville Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary fear falling far short of the need for this year’s “Coats for Kids” drive. Spokeswoman Bev Stalsberg says donations after the first two weeks are down by half of what they were last year. She says warm weather may be keeping people from thinking about winter. Last year close to 200 families, and more than 350 children were served. This year Stalsberg fears it will be far less. This is the last weekend for the collection phase, of the October 28th distribution.
