The State Department of Transportation has programmed design for the reconditioning of Center Avenue between Court Street and Nicolet Street with anticipated construction in 2026 subject to funding approval.
Preliminary design for this project will begin in 2018.
The project will address subgrade deficiencies and replace asphalt pavement, as well as replace curb & gutter and sidewalk as necessary. In addition, the bridge deck over the CNW railroad south of Delavan Drive will be replaced.
The total project cost is anticipated to be $11,757,000. The City will contribute $235,000 which is 25% of the anticipated design costs with State or Federal funds paying the remaining $11,522,000 project costs.
