A local school district is considering options to help recruit and retain students. Evansville Superintendent Jerry Roth estimates more than 50-students left the district through open enrollment this year. A study by UW-Madison estimates enrollment could decrease by almost 300 students over the next decade. A Citizens Advisory Committee is considering solutions to the problem. The district has presented the committee with a list of potential items including maintaining a curriculum based in technology, boosting extracurricular activities, and possibly building a new school. A community survey will lay out the options.
