Beloit City Council considers Kolak Education Center development

A developer looking to turn the Kolak Education Center in Beloit into a multi-family residential complex reduces the scope of the project even further.

Planning and Building Services Director Drew Pennington says Commonwealth Development reduced the number of proposed units from 40 to 33 after the Plan Commission recommended denial of the project last month.  The project originally called for 60 units.

The Beloit City Council will hold a public hearing at 7:00 Monday night prior to taking and action.
