The victim in a fatal seven-vehicle crash Monday night on I-39-90 in Dane County is from Janesville. Authorities say the crash at about 8:30 in the evening near mile marker 149 in the Town of Pleasant Springs initially involved four vehicles, but a secondary crash involved three more. Investigators say it began when a pickup truck going east lost control and crossed through the median into the oncoming lanes. Officials say everyone involved in the crash was wearing seat belts except 24-year-old Quintin R. Newton who was pronounced dead at the scene. The State Patrol is handing the investigation.
