A 76-year-old Janesville man is facing charges after a shots fired incident on the city’s far west side. Police say they were called to a home in the 200 block of West Ridge Road at 9:09 p.m. Monday night for a report of someone shooting a car. Officers say the situation started as a domestic violence related incident and escalated into the driveway. Police say Alan W. Banner is accused of shooting a tire of an occupied car and retreating into the home. The Janesville Police Department Crisis Negotiations Team, along with S.W.A.T. responded and negotiated with the suspect. Police say Banner came out about two hours later without further incident or injury. He was arrest on charges including Recklessly Endangering Safety While Armed.
