The Town of Beloit Fire Department is investigating a house fire in the 1900 block of South Wisconsin Avenue. The fire was reported around 6:30 Friday morning. When firefighters arrived, the family of three had already escaped. Officials say the fire began in a basement near an electrical box. Much of the two-story home sustained heat and smoke damage and is uninhabitable.
