Wisconsinites appear willing to work. The latest unemployment report from the Department of Workforce Development indicates the state ranks 5th nationally for labor force participation. In the Janesville-Beloit area, the unemployment rate did increase .5% in January, to a not seasonally adjusted rate of 3.3%. Even with the bump, the unemployment rate locally is still more than a full percentage point lower than a year ago.
