Parker High School announces the hire of new boys basketball coach

The administration of Parker High School announces that Mr. Matt Bredesen has accepted the offer to become the boys head basketball coach. Bredesen was selected from a pool of 12 applicants. Interviews were completed by a peer team consisting of PHS administration, athletic director, three head coaches, and a parent representative.
Mr. Bredesen has been a high school basketball coach for nineteen seasons. He has served as a varsity boys coach for the past seven seasons, including the past two as the varsity boys basketball coach at Waupaca High School. Additionally, Bredesen is the Assistant Director of the Wisconsin Swing AAU basketball program. Bredesen will also be joining the Parker teaching staff as a special education teacher.
“We are pleased to bring Mr. Bredesen to Parker and our basketball program,” said Chris Laue, PHS Principal. “Matt is known across the state as a leader in youth basketball and will undoubtedly use his expertise to take Parker boys basketball to the next level.”
