The 30-year-old Janesville man accused of stabbing his mother’s longtime boyfriend to death nearly three years ago in Milton is sentenced to 12 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision.
Prosecutor Jodi Dobson-Bollendorf says Mario Lopez and his brother confronted the victim because he had beat up their mother.
Mario Lopez plead guilty to second degree reckless homicide by use of a dangerous weapon. His brother Michael Lopez plead guilty to aiding a felon and was sentenced to four years in prison.
