A Janesville man is arrested after a mile-long vehicle pursuit.
Neighbors reported that 45-year-old Kevin Alt was attempting a burglary to a residence in the 2600 block of Bond Place between 7:30 and 8:15 a.m. Saturday morning.
Police located Alt as he was leaving the area and attempted a traffic stop but he fled.
The pursuit ended at the corner of Elizabeth Street and North Willard Avenue when Alt’s truck blew out a tire and came to a stop after the vehicle was sent sideways.
Alt tried to escape on foot, but police said they apprehended him shortly after he exited the vehicle.
Alt was taken to the Rock County Jail on charges of attempted burglary, stalking/domestic violence, bail jumping and fleeing.
