Janesville woman charged in stabbing death

A rocky romance may have ended in murder. Janesville police say 20-year-old Sarina M. Stone of Janesville has been arrested on a charge of First Degree Reckless Homicide in the death of 26-year-old Robert Thomas Junior of Janesville. Lieutenant Charles Aagard says the stabbing occurred in the parking lot of an apartment building in the 1700 block of West Wall Street sometime before the pair arrived at the hospital about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.  Police say Stone and Thomas knew each other well before the incident and dated in the past.  Thomas had been arrested twice before for striking Stone.  In this case police say Stone indicated the two were arguing in the parking lot, when Thomas struck her, and then she stabbed him.  Stone is being held at the Rock County Jail awaiting her initial court appearance.
