(Gazette photo) Another chain restaurant on Janesville’s north side is closing. Fuddruckers franchise owner Kevin Brown says he expects to shutter the doors of the custom hamburger restaurant within the next week. This closing comes less than three months after the closure of Janeville’s Quaker Steak and Lube located about a block away on the competitive Humes Road corridor. Brown says the labor market has been “intensely tight”, and has made it tough to staff the restaurant and keep it viable. Fuddruckers opened in 2004 and employs 26 people.
