Sitting down with a good book isn’t what it used to be. Arrowhead Library System spokesperson Tovah Anderson says the popularity of e-books and other electronic offerings is growing. Anderson says 10% of the libraries materials are now checked out electronically. She says this fall’s “Big Library Read” is set up to introduce more people to electronic books. She says as many readers as possible will be able to participate thanks to the on-line use of what’s known as “Overdrive”. The “Big Library Read” starts Monday and features the young adult novel, “The Girl with the Red Balloon”.
