The Janesville Police and Fire Commission goes about the business of finding a new leader for the fire department in the wake of Chief Randy Banker’s retirement.
Member DuWayne Severson says in addition to determining the process for hiring a new chief Wednesday afternoon, the PFC will choose an acting chief.
Current Fire Chief Randy Banker’s retirement is effective January 11th of 2019.
The PFC meets at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Janesville Police Services Building.
