The city of Janesville may not be able to directly impact downtown blight, but it can help ensure safety. City Manager Mark Freitag tells Your Talk Show on WCLO the owners of the old Town and County restaurant building on South River Street have until November 26th to respond to a raze or repair order. The city previously issued a similar order for the iconic Monterey Hotel on Milwaukee. Freitag is hopeful other building owners will work to clean-up their properties as part of the ARISE downtown redevelopment plan. The city has recently hosted several events to celebrate already completed projects
