The owner of the Monterey Hotel has until November 28th to agree to repairs, or the building could face demolition.
The repair plan City of Janesville officials want Jim Graft to sign lays out several deadlines for repairs.
Graft would have until the end of December to meet fire code requirements, the end of May of 2019 to fix broke and missing windows, repair exterior brick, and fix the roof. He would have until July of 2019 to fix the structural supports on one floor of the building.
The alternative is a raze order the City drafted on November 16th.
