A registered sex offender is returning to the Beloit community after a lengthy prison sentence.
According to a news release, 37-year-old Robert R. Johnson was released on Tuesday.
He was convicted back in 2004 on two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child in Rock County.
Johnson plead guilty at the time and had another charge of first-degree sexual assault dismissed.
As a sex offender, he’s set to remain under supervision until 2023.
