The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin is looking for donations to help fund the building of a new facility south of Janesville.
Executive Director Mike McManus says they were already able to purchase 44 and a half acres of land for the site.
They’re planning a new expanded campus as part of the over $4 million project which will include a dog park, pet memorial and picnic area.
McManus believes they are in serious need of an updated facility to better serve Rock County, and he invites community members to see for themselves.
Community members have already started donating and pledging contributions over a five-year span.
