It doesn’t appear another grocery store will be going into the shuttered building on Janesville’s south side that used to house a Pick n Save any time soon.
The owner of the land at 1717 Center Avenue is looking to have the property re-zoned from general commercial to light industrial.
City Senior Planner Brian Schweigl says the property owner has indicated that several parties have shown interest in leasing space in the building for light industrial purposes.
The Janesville Plan Commission will hold a public hearing before considering rezoning the property when they meet at 6:00 Monday evening.
