The extreme temperature last night apparently wasn’t enough to deter a group of criminals seeking cold hard cash.
Janesville Police say officers were dispatched to the report of a robbery at Five Points Grocery and Gas at 600 West Milwaukee Street just before 12:30 Wednesday morning.
The clerk told police five to six suspects entered the store and demanded money and cigarettes.
The group fled north on foot.
