The United Way Blackhawk Region is falling short of their fundraising goal for 2019.
CEO Mary Fanning-Penny says they’re about $104,000 behind their $2.6 million goal.
An anonymous donor offered a $52,000 donation, so long as the community can raise at least $52,000 to match by February 15.
Fanning-Penny says leadership changes at local companies and retail closures account for some of the campaign’s four-percent shortfall.
