The Bass Creek Golf Club near Footville is dealing with the aftermath of vandalism to one of its greens this weekend.
General Manager Dave Hilt says a vehicle did doughnuts on the eighth hole early Saturday morning.
The tire tracks show a direct path from Highway 11, through a neighboring farm and onto the green, before heading back to the road.
Hilt says it’ll cost thousands of dollars to repair, and if they have to re-seed the green, it could be closed for the whole summer.
Police are checking for security camera footage from Footville to try and identify a suspect vehicle.
Hilt says this appears to be a random act and they haven’t had previous trouble with vandalism.
