Five injured in town of Magnolia crash

Three people suffer “serious but non-life-threatening injuries” after a Monroe man drove through a stop sign Sunday in the town of Magnolia..
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says two others, including a 6-month-old girl, were also taken to a hospital for evaluations after first responders went to the scene just after 1:00 Sunday afternoon.
Preliminary investigation shows 24-year-old Bradley R. Butler went through a stop sign at North Highway 213 as he drove east on West County A.
Butler struck two other vehicles driven by a 26-year-old Footville woman and a 59-year-old Evansville man.
Three of the people in the vehicles had to be extricated using the “jaws of life.”
Sheriff’s deputies are anticipating they will cite Butler for inattentive driving and failure to stop at a stop sign causing bodily harm.
The intersection was closed for nearly 3½ hours for the crash, which is still under investigation.
