Visit Beloit plans $2.75 million renovation, expansion of former Angel Museum site

Visit Beloit is ready to move forward with the first phase of converting the former Angel Museum and St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
Executive Director Celestino Ruffini says they’re planning a $2.75 million project to renovate the building and construct an addition on the side of the church.
The Beloit City Council will meet early next month to discuss the $1 purchase agreement for the property.
Ruffini says they’ve already secured financing for the first phase of the project to renovate the existing church structure.
Visit Beloit plans to maintain spaces in the building for the public to learn about the community’s history.
They’ve been operating out of a temporary location at the Eclipse Center since last year.
