Residents raise environmental concerns over potential Beloit Snapper stadium

Some citizens in the stateline area are concerned about the environmental impact of a potential new Beloit Snappers stadium going in along the Rock River.
South Beloit Mayor Ted Rehl says eagles nest in that area around the river, near the Nature at the Confluence.
Residents are concerned that fireworks and other stadium activities could disturb the birds and other wildlife.
He believes the development groups involved in the stadium project will be environmentally conscious in their work.
Hendricks Commercial Properties says they will seek all of the proper approvals from the Department of Natural Resources.
