Home sales remain strong in Rock County

The ever increasing prices in the local real estate market may actually be prompting a slowdown in sales. Rock-Green Realtors Association President Colleen Nelson says limited inventory has resulted in some caution by sellers. Nelson says it’s gotten to the point where would-be sellers are waiting to list their home, because they’re unsure they’ll find one to buy. She calls it a real supply and demand market, which is great for sellers, but a little frustrating for buyers. The Wisconsin Realtors Association reports the number of sales in Rock County in September were up 3% compared to a year ago. The median sales price of a home in September was up more than 9% from a year ago. The current median sales price of a home in Rock County is now around $165 thousand.
