A local school district is preparing for snow days and delays. Janesville District Spokesman Patrick Gasper is advising parents to update their contact information through the Infinite Campus Messenger System portal to ensure timely notices. Gasper says the district takes school closing announcements seriously because of the impact on families. He says the superintendent will make the decision no later than 6:00 a.m. the morning of the day impacted. In the event of an automated notice, the Infinite Campus portal system does send out 10,000 notices, so Gasper warns it can take a while. He says to ensure everyone can learn about a delay or closure, the information will also be released to local media and posted the district’s Facebook and home pages.
